Darkfall Online is a skill based MMORPG that is built around the concept of PVP combat. Instead of levels, characters advance by leveling up skills such as swords or archery similiar to Ultima Online. The PVP in this game is fast and furious with players having to aim their spells and swings, dodge friendly fire, and find time to loot their oppositions corpses of everything they carried. Politics play a big part with player run cities change hands frequently with large scale sieges that include mounted combat, warhulks and even cannon loaded battle ships! Crafting and gathering add a much needed dimension to this game, as fighting monsters is still a work in progress. PVE brings with it some of the smartest AI to grace any MMO, but lack of variety and purpose make it a bore before long.
